The Town of Winterville Fire Department provides fire services to both the area within the Town limits as well as the Rural Fire District surrounding the Town. The Department’s ISO insurance rating is 6/9.

 

Our History


Established in 1951, Winterville Fire Department has been dedicated to serve and protect the citizens and property of the Town of Winterville, Rural Winterville, and the surrounding communities.
Currently our department has a staff of 3 paid personnel, 10 volunteer officers, and approximately 50 volunteer firefighters. Our community that we protect covers an area of roughly 30 square miles with a population of about 14,000, and averages nearly 400 calls per year. Currently we have a fleet of eight pieces of apparatus, all housed in our Main Street station completed in 2003.
